# Lateral Space

> Lateral Space is the **living intelligence layer for AI-Native companies**. We help organizations become AI Native — not by adding another tool, but by connecting people, agents, memory, and weak signals inside a single operating plane where the company can sense earlier, remember better, and evolve with precision.

Lateral Space is a consulting + product studio founded in 2026. We work with two kinds of companies:

1. **Companies starting their AI journey** — we map where AI multiplies value, build the first production-grade agents, and set up learning loops (6–10 weeks to first loop in production).

2. **Companies with AI already in production** — we integrate existing agents into a unified intelligence layer with shared memory (semantic, episodic, procedural), knowledge graph, smart model routing, prompt caching, and nightly consolidation (dream cycle).

**Core thesis**: Companies are smarter than their org charts. Most of their intelligence is trapped in vertical structures. Lateral Space opens a new room where intelligence moves sideways.

## The six manifesto principles

1. **AI is the operating system, not a tool on the side.** Every decision, every workflow, every interaction is born inside the intelligent layer.
2. **Every process closes in a loop.** Capture → Decide → Act → Measure → Learn → Repeat. AI-native companies self-correct.
3. **The whole company becomes queryable.** Every meeting transcribed, every decision logged, every signal captured — not to surveil, but to give the brain raw material to learn from.
4. **One person, one squad of agents.** Humans define what to build and how to measure success. Agents implement.
5. **The intelligence layer in place of hierarchy.** Middle managers existed to route information between levels. The brain does it in milliseconds.
